This past October right before BYOP, after much begging and pleading on my part, we got a new front door. Our door was original when we moved in and I kid you not was so warped you could see a sliver of outside at the bottom ....no lie. Rich has a rather embarassing video of me doing the aforementioned begging and pleading which he likes to play at random times to get me riled up. It was not one of my finest moments...but I digress. We found a great deal on a classic shaker style door at Home Depot and pulled the trigger on it right before the party (oh, and a storm door because - pleaseeeeeeeeee).
Once the front door was installed, we started trying to talk about what color we would paint it. Rich was quick to point out that we would NOT be painting it until the springtime so I had a while to make my decision. Well, up until quite recently I thought we would go with black. Our siding is grey which I don't mind (what I do mind is that it's VINYL, BLEH) and we have black shutters, which I also I don't mind. I thought a black front door would go nicely and would have a clean, classic look that wouldn't go out of style and I wouldn't get sick of. Done...we would have a black door come Spring.
Well Spring came and went and the front door is still white....see above. I've been having a hard time pulling the trigger on it and I think may be having a little change of heart and thinking why don't we do a fun pop of color on the front door? Rich doesn't care and actually I think he would prefer a bright color so I've been going to Pinterest for inspiration....naturally. Black is still on my radar but I'm kinda feeling that blue...thoughts?!
